As defined in the Statutes PINGAT JASSA MALAYASIA (PJM) was established on 27 October 2005 by his Majesty Yang DiPertuan Agong of Malaysia, in the appreciation of the meritorious acts and supreme sacrifices made by the security forces and civilian staff from commonwealth countries such as Britain, Australia, Newzeland, Fiji and Nepal to Malaysia for nearly a decade, the Government of Malaysia wishes to award this medal created in 2004 for the gallantry and loyalty shown while performing their services in the Peninsula of Malaya or Malaysia’s sovereignty during the period of First Emergency and confrontation, for valued services, role and sacrifices that the veterans had demonstrated during the difficult years of emergency and confrontation. The PJM medals was conducted and distributed to the countries mentioned above by the Malaysian Government in the past as a whole, but majority of Nepali veterans were left out due to living in the remote villages in Nepal which lacked in communication facilities. But as the time passed, they came to know about this medal and saw some of their colleges had received it and were wearing it with pride.
There is no bulk presentation dates, peoples can directly apply at Malaysian Ministry of Defence (Min Def) or Ex British Gurkhas Association of Ealing (EBGAE) and the National Malaya and Borneo Veteran Association (NMBVA) who are the recognised organisations for making group Application through the Malaysian Embassy of UK and Northern Ireland London.
So far EBGAE had processed, received and distributed 643 PJM to the Gurkha Veterans. The PJM conferment ceremony was held at the Malaysian High Commissioner at their Embassy in London on 16 November 2023 where a total of 30 recipients from EBGAE and NMBVA were awarded. The remaining medals for 187 Gurkha veterans are being distributed on the dates and locations as follows:

As being the part of Gurkha Nepalese Welfare Society the senior group EBGAE are working concurrently on this PJM medal campaign. Next lot of applications will be delivered to the Malaysian Embassy at the end of the December 2023 for 2024. Conferment. All eligible applicants or their dependents who wish to apply are welcome by the EBGAE and GNWS.

मलेशियन सरकारले आदेश गरे अनुसार PINGAT JASSA MALAYASIA (PJM) को स्थापना 27 अक्टोबर 2005 मा मलेशियाका महामहिम Yang DiPertuan Agong ले गरेको थियो, सुरक्षा बलहरू र ब्रिटिसजस्ता राष्ट्रमण्डलका नागरिक कर्मचारीहरूले गरेका उत्कृष्ट कार्यहरू र सर्वोच्च बलिदानहरूको प्रशंसामा अस्ट्रेलिया, न्युजिल्यान्ड, फिजी र नेपाललाई झण्डै एक दशकदेखि मलेशियाको सार्वभौमसत्ताको अवधिमा मलाया प्रायद्वीप वा मलेसियाको सार्वभौमसत्तामा आफ्नो सेवा निर्वाह गर्दा देखाएको वीरता र निष्ठाका लागि सन् २००४ मा सिर्जना गरिएको यो पदक मलेसिया सरकारले प्रदान गर्न चाहन्छ । आपतकालीन र टकराव, मूल्यवान सेवाहरू, भूमिका र बलिदानहरूको लागि जुन दिग्गजहरूले आपतकालीन र टकरावको कठिन वर्षहरूमा प्रदर्शन गरेका थिए। PJM उद्धरण हेर्नुहोस्।
विगतमा मलेसिया सरकारले माथि उल्लिखित देशहरूमा PJM पदकहरू सञ्चालन र वितरण गरेको थियो तर धेरैजसो नेपाली गोरखा भूपूहरु
सञ्चार सुविधाको अभावमा दुर्गम गाउँमा बसोबास गर्ने भएकाले छाडेका थिए। तर समय बित्दै जाँदा उनीहरूलाई यो पदकको बारेमा थाहा भयो र उनीहरूका केही सहकर्मीहरूले यसलाई पाएका थिए र गर्वका साथ लगाएका थिए।
त्यहाँ कुनै बल्क प्रस्तुतीकरण मितिहरू छैनन्, मानिसहरूले सिधै मलेशियाको रक्षा मन्त्रालय (Ministry of Defence) वा भुतपूर्व ब्रिटिश गोर्खाज एसोसिएसन अफ इलिंग (EBGAE) र राष्ट्रिय मलाया र बोर्नियो भेटेरन एसोसिएसन (NMBVA) मा सिधै आवेदन दिन सक्छन् जुन समूह आवेदन गर्नका लागि मान्यता प्राप्त संस्थाहरू हुन्। युके र उत्तरी आयरल्याण्डको लागि लन्डनको मलेशियन दूतावास मार्फत निबेदन गर्न सकिन्छ।
हालसम्म EBGAE मार्फत 643 PJM मेडल गोर्खा भेटरन्सलाई प्राप्त गरि र वितरण गरिसकेको छन् । PJM सम्मान समारोह १६ नोभेम्बर २०२३ मा लन्डनमा उनीहरूको दूतावासमा मलेसियाली उच्च आयुक्तमा आयोजित गरिएको थियो जहाँ EBGAE र NMBVA बाट कुल 30 प्राप्त कर्ताहरूलाई ससम्मान गरिएको थियो । १ सय ८७ गोर्खा भूपूहरुका लागि बाँकी रहेका पदकहरु निम्न अनुसार मिति र स्थानमा बाँडफाँट गरिदैछ ।
गोरखा नेपाली वेलफेयर सोसाइटी (GNWSUK)को जेष्ट नागारिक समिति शाखा भएकाले भुतपूर्व ब्रिटिश गोर्खाज एसोसिएसन अफ इलिंग (EBGAE)यस PJM पदक अभियानमा साथसाथै काम गरिरहेको छौ । अर्को धेरै आवेदनहरू सन् २०२४ को लागि डिसेम्बर २०२३ को अन्त्यमा मलेशियन दूतावासमा पठाइनेछ। आवेदन दिन चाहने सबै योग्य आवेदकहरू वा त्यहाँ आश्रितहरूलाई EBGAE र GNWS द्वारा स्वागत गर्दछ ।
