Financial Assistance Handed Over to the Parents of Late Mr. Yubin Tamang.

Financial assistance has been formally handed over to the parents of the late Mr. Yubin Tamang.

Mr. Yubin Tamang, the only 20-year-old son of Mr. Bikash Tamang and Mrs. Sharmila Magar Tamang permanent residents of Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City–11, Nepal, had arrived in the United Kingdom one year ago for higher studies. He was pursuing a BSc in Business Management (Second Year) at the University of Roehampton, London.

Tragically, on 18 October 2025, the grime artist, whose real name is Justin Clarke-Samuel, failed to stop after his BMW hit Nepali student Yubin Tamang, 20, in Redbridge Lane East, Ilford, north-east London. Considering humanitarian responsibility and social duty, Gurkha Nepalese Welfare Society, UK, a charitable organization, voluntarily initiated a fundraising campaign among its members to provide financial support to the bereaved family. Accordingly, the collected amount of £1,200 (One Thousand Two Hundred Pounds Sterling) was officially handed over on Friday, 12 December 2025, at the Costa Tea Shop meeting hall in South Harrow, London.

The financial assistance was presented to Mr. Bikash Tamang and Mrs. Sharmila Magar Tamang by the President of the Society, Mr. Ganj Bahadur Ale, in the presence of Chief Advisor Mr. Krishna Bahadur Rai, Senior Vice President Mrs Bishnu Kumari Gurung, Vice President Mr. Rajendra Limbu, General Secretary Mrs. Bimla Kumari Rai, Treasurer Mr. Ganesh Ale and Senior Citizen Coordinator Mr. Nathu Sing Thapa of the Society, also affiliate association from the Gurkha Satyagraha Committee Members, and with the facilitation of Lt. Colonel Avtar Shrestha.

On the occasion, President Mr. Ganja Bahadur Ale expressed heartfelt condolences, praying for the eternal peace of the departed soul and strength and patience for the grieving family. He also assured that the Society would remain ready to provide support in the future whenever needed.

Finally, the mother of the late Mr. Yubin Tamang Mrs. Sharmila Magar Tamang expressed her sincere gratitude to the President, all present members, donors, and the entire Gurkha Nepalese Welfare Society family for their moral, emotional, financial, and continuous support during this extremely difficult time.

उपलब्ध गराईएको संस्थाको खातामा डिपोजिट भएको जम्मा रकम £१२२० पाऊण्ड स्टर्लिंग एक हजार दुई सय बिस आज मिती सन २०२५ डिसेम्बर १२ तारिख सुक्रबारको दिन साउथह्याहो स्थित कोश्टा रेस्टोरेन्टमा संस्थाका पदाधिकारीहरू, सल्लाहकार , गोरखा सत्याग्रह समितिका पदाधिकारीहरु र ले. कर्णेल औतार श्रेष्ठको मध्यस्थतामा मृतकको पिडित आमा बाबालाई संकलन भएको रकम हस्तान्तरित भएको कुरा यहाँहरु सम्पूर्ण दाताहरूलाई जानकारी गराऊन चहान्छौं, यसै मौकामा यो पनि जानकारी गराऊन चहान्छौं कि दुर्घटनामा ज्यान गुमाएका स्वर्गीय युबिनका आमा बुबाले सम्पूर्ण दातागण प्रति यहाँहरुको हरेक सहयोग साथ समर्थन हौसला र मानवीय गुण प्रति सधन्यवाद आभार प्रकट गर्नु भएको छ,
